 WHY DO YOU PRACTICE?

I practice yoga for several different reasons.  I really enjoy playing all types of sports and as you get older, yoga helps with stretching & strengthening your joints, muscles and ligaments.

WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS YOU EXPERIENCE?
My primary benefit is that Hot Yoga gives me a sense of peace with my mind and body.  It releases stress, increase muscle elasticity and releases built up toxins.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE POSTURE?

My favorite posture is Trikonasana (triangle pose) you get the most bang for your buck because the entire body is working.

HOW HAS HOT YOGA CHANGED OR IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?

Being in the restaurant business for over 20 years you find yourself inundated with having little problems happening all the time.  The end result is stress.  After finding Hot Yoga three years ago, I found that the little problems really don’t matter and there’s nothing really that important to stress about.  This new mind set has not only made me much happier but has also been beneficial to my businesses.  I do have to give Huntington Beach Hot Yoga a lot of the credit because they always have instructors that are very knowledgeable and really care about your class.  I also like that Jason is a clean freak and the studio always has a good vibe.

WHY DO YOU PRACTICE?

Becki: While it is my form of exercise, it really is just as much a mental exercise as it is physical. I look forward to my time on the mat- challenging my body and mind to stay in the moment.

Yoga – Body for Life

images

With summer upon us, visions of bathing suit shopping stop some of us short… But we yogis have an obligation to ourselves, and our community, to turn the focus from body image to self-awareness. The practice of yoga sets us apart from other exercises performed with a singular goal in mind: to shape one’s body [...]

Down Under Dog

Vivian Nguyen

Here in Australia, everything is upside down. Summer is winter, the toilets flush counterclockwise and don’t even get me started on the driving (right side of the car, left side of the road…) But one thing remains the same, and that constant is hot yoga. I’ve had the opportunity and privilege, while vacationing in Melbourne, [...]
