Sadie Black has been a professional ballet dancer since 2004. In 2008, she was introduced to the practice of yoga as a means to work out after experiencing a foot injury. She was immediately amazed at the physical challenge it offered her. After some time in the hot yoga studio, Sadie started to experience the healing benefits from the practice. Her foot was hurting less and she began getting back into the ballet studio as well. She was so grateful to begin dancing more again at this time while continuing her yoga practice.
Discovering this passion for Hot Yoga inspired her to share her knowledge and love of yoga and its benefits with others. In August 2009, Sadie completed the Dayton Method Hot Yoga Teacher Training. She is currently a 200 hour-RYT through Yoga Alliance, the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States.
Now she has the privilege of dancing professionally with Luminario Ballet of Los Angeles. When Sadie is not dancing or sweating in the Hot Yoga room, she works part time at a law firm. She loves snowboarding, with the exhilarating feeling of being in the mountains and the physical challenge if offers. You may also find her in the kitchen creating delicious baked goods or dancing the night away.
